Oceania Trademark Registration

This guide covers trademark registration in Australia, American Samoa, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Island, Cook Islands, Coral Sea Islands, Easter Island, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Hawaii, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wake Island and Wallis and Futuna.

A number of these territories require direct registration to obtain protection but others gain automatic protection depending on how you register your trademarks. Some territories either require registration or offer reduced official fees for an existing registration in some other jurisdictions, notably the UK. The guide also covers domain name registration.

This guide is due for publication in March 2011.

Caribbean and North Atlantic Islands Trademark Registration
